My name is Anna Boone and I am a recent Top 100 and Honors College graduate from Indiana University's School of Education at IUPUI. I received my degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology through Purdue's School of Science at IUPUI. After graduating in December 2022, I spent a semester as a participant in the Disney College Program at the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando Florida. I am excited to be back in Indiana, pursuing my passion for enriching children's minds in the classroom and using what I learned at IUPUI and the Disney College Program in my classroom. Snapshot of my Educational Approach
In my classroom, students will not leave their race, culture, and ethnicity at the door, they will wear these things proudly across the threshold, knowing that what they bring with them is valuable to their learning. I believe that students learn best when the content connects to their lives and they have had a say in what and how learning is created. Because of the safe and caring classroom environment we have created together, students will not be afraid to make mistakes and learn from each other.
